In its own words
Academic charity supporting folklore and related studies in Canada. We organize a yearly conference manage and disperse awards and prizes support a scholarly journal and publicise and advocate for our members and their scholarship. We also mentor and support students by providing access to our conference and funding. The volunteer board (7 members) and conference organizers (1-4 people) work approximately 600 hours/year in support of the organization.
