During the fiscal period the fieldwood heritage society operated the canning heritage centre throughout the summer tourist season providing public access to exhibits and interpretive displays that preserve and share the history of canning and surrounding communities. Year-round the society curated and published historical content through social media channels to promote local heritage awareness. The society also administered its annual bursary program providing financial assistance toward continuing education for elgible local high school graduates.
