The essa and district agricultural society (edas) has been in existence for 165 years. Formerly the barrie and district agricultural society the society was formed to host the community annual fall fair. The edas is a non-profit organization with many benefits to its community. The objectives of the society are to encourage an awareness of agriculture and to promote improvements in the quality of persons living in our community both rural and urban.
