ESAF Global Canada conducted research on open public spaces and markets in Jaffna Sri Lanka. The study aimed to assess the current situation identify challenges and understand the governing laws and regulations. New development efforts have been focused on the city of Jaffna areas in need of improvement. In Jaffna tourism has brought about a shift in mindset and culture leading to public space improvements influenced by western designs.
