The Dale Cheney Memorial scholarship fund was established in memory of Dale Cheney. The fund is used to fund scholarships awarded each year to graduating grade 12 Vancouver Thunderbird Minor Hockey Association players who have exhibited good sportsmanship superior academic ability and intend to pursue post-secondary education.
