Culture shock canada charity addresses issues of social isolation and self-esteem through structured urban dance-based education programs for youth in ottawa and the greater toronto area. Community dance programs in ottawa have continued at bishop hamilton montessori school banff community house and with christie lake kids ( in both bank and dempsey communities). These medium to long erm weekly community dance classes are aimed to get children active while increasing their self-confidence and breaking down the barriers to social isolation.
