Ongoing programs and services include volunteer firefighting in the coxheath community as well as providing backup firefighting services when required to other volunteer fire departments in the surrounding areas of cbrm. Cvfd continues to raise funds for additional training gear and equipment needed for its members to safely provide services. Fundraising efforts include taking part in a provincial firefighters online raffle that has enabled many volunteer departments to supplement their municipal funding.
