In its own words
The society was established for the purpose of promoting scottish culture in the cowichan valley. We have provided a place for people young and old to learn how to play the bagpipes and drums for the cowichan pipes and drums band. We have not charged any fee for teaching and have provided uniforms supplies and in some cases loaned instruments to our students. The band has attended many community functions at no charge such as parades and ceremonies.
