Clarence Community Club is a charitable organization based in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, classified by the CRA under foundations. It appears on the charity register the way hospitals, universities, and other publicly funded bodies do — to issue tax receipts — rather than as a donation-driven charity in the usual sense. Its funding that year was roughly 75% from government. Government funding is the majority of its budget. In 2024, 1 other registered charity reported granting it a combined $800.

Compared with 38 grantmaking institutions of similar size, its share of spending on mission — charitable programs plus grants to other charities — ranked above 97% of peers.

Revenue has grown substantially over its filings on record here, from $153 in 2020 to $40K in 2024.

In its own words

The clarence community club's goal is to maintain our building so that the community of clarence and surrounding area has a place to use for meetings (like the clarence 4h from september to june) and other social gatherings such as yoga (year round). To raise funds to upkeep and pay other expenses we rely on donations from individuals grants and fundraising (such as calendar sales refundable collection community suppers hall rentals for birthdays and showers and a farmers markert from june to november)
