Volunteer west island had another busy year: caring paws animal therapy reached 7020 individuals; 5329 reassurance calls were mode to seniors referred to us by three clsc's; a total of 22948 frozen meals and purees were safely distributed to citizens experiencing a loss of autonomy; 9 meals on wheels kitchens delivered 21885 meals with a smile; 230 income tax returns were completed by volunteers to help seniors and vulnerable individuals; 2278 volunteers were recruited and 10411 participants for a total of 1028 sessions in our young at heart 55+ community centre.
