The association consists of a working board of volunteers which operates the cedar community hall providing rental space for community events-weddings celebrations of life group functions the yellowpoint drama group cedar lions club etc. It provides free rental space for youth groups. The hall has been designated as a disaster relief reception centre by the regional district of nanaimo.
