The foundation was established in commemorative of the young women studying engineering at the ecole polytechnique in montreal who lost their lives in the tragedy of december 6 1989 the objects of the foundation are to provide an opportunity for women to prepare for receive training and an education in engineering and to do all such things as are incidental and conductive to this objective by providing scholarships to women in engineering studies
