The society operates as an emergency shelter to provide a safe supportive place for women and children who are escaping domestic violence in a crisis situation or are homeless. Approximately 400 women and children are assisted annually. Service includes supplying basic needs (food clothing shelter health supports) counselling transportation children's programs childcare life skills supports referral to community resources access to a 24 hour crisis phone line and an outreach program to support safe lifestyle and self sufficient living transitioning.
