Our focus in 2023 was growing our Emergency Program which aided evacuees in Alberta and those coming to Alberta from Yellowknife due to forest fires. We welcomed our first sanctuary dog into care who received 3rd degree burns when wildfires destroyed the East Prairie Metis Settlement and extensive medical care was provided. The Foundation provided emergency relief and supplies and participated in a community rebuild by building and supplying dog houses to aid Nation dogs and their guardians.
