Bereaved Families of Ontario-Ottawa Region (BFO-Ottawa) provides bereavement peer support groups for people grieving a death. Groups are led by trained volunteer facilitators with the lived experience of a significant death. Groups are provided weekly monthly and seasonally. These include drop-in groups grief walking groups educational speakers 8 week seasonal groups and art therapy groups. We have groups that specialize in 5 specific types of bereavement: child partner/spouse parent sibling/friend/relative and by suicide. Our programs are inclusive and open to everyone in the commu…
