1. The charity was established after the Second World War to honour and commemorate the brave allied airmen who fought in the Battle of Britain and the other epic air battles of the war's theatres. A major activity of the charity is the annual Battle of Britain Memorial Ceremony and Parade held in the Air Forces' Garden of Remembrance in Stanley Park.
