The Ayr Horticultural Society (alias - North Dumfries Garden Club) had 112 members who contributed 2055 hours of volunteer time to the community. The Society held 8 monthly meetings January to May and September to November. Meetings were open to the public and featured a guest speaker who is an authority in an aspect of horticulture nature or the environment. Planters in the villages of Ayr and Roseville were planted and maintained with a new arrangement for each of the four seasons. Administration of the North Dumfries Community Garden was shared with the township.
