L'aqjp organise annuellement une simulation parlementaire de cinq jours à l'assemblée nationale du québec. 100 jeunes âgés de 18 à 25 ont la possibilité de s'initier au rouages de la démocratie parlementaire québecoises à travers différents rôles: députés ministres journalistes etc. Avant la ténue de la simulation des rencontres préparatoires ont lieu afin de préparer tous les participants à leur rôle durant la simulation. De plus l'organisme détient une entente de partenariat avec deux parlements jeunesses étrangers (parlement jeunesse wallonie-bruxelles et conseil des jeunes valdôtain…
