The Canadian Association for Translation Studies (ACT-CATS) is an association which aims to promote research in translation writing terminology and interpreting in their widest sense; to provide an open framework for discussing matters regarding the teaching of those disciplines; to communicate the research and findings of its members and of other researchers and educators. We organize a conference once a year and we reimburse certain expenses related to the conference. We support several student-run translation studies conferences and events.
