The alliston & district humane society (adhs) is an affiliate of the ontario society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ospca). The adhs is run solely by the efforts of non-paid volunteers. The adhs provides shelter for stray neglected and unwanted animals. It provides lost and found reporting service humane education about animals animal protection and cruelty investigation services. The primary source of revenue of the adhs is from donations which accounts for 63% of total revenue.
