The Synod is shepherd to Lutheran congregations in Alberta Yukon and NT. It provides financial and other support for outreach programs ofcongregations as well as counsel and guidance to about 200 pastors through the Bishop of the Synod. The Synod also provides direct financial support tothe Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (Winnipeg MB) and the Lutheran Theological Seminary (Saskatoon SK).
