Planning preparation and execution of large public plantings of trees shrubs and wild flowers in public parks and protected lands. Several hundred volunteers of all ages participated in completing the plantings under the direction of the organizing committee of 10 000 Trees for the Rouge. The plantings were funded by corporate and private donations and by financial support from the Government land owner of the planting site.
